Kennel Talk

We are so fortunate to have the wonderful clients that we have staying here at Shadowbar in our boarding/training kennel. Saying that we board good dogs and sticking with the standard, which requires that dogs be sociable with people and other dogs, has benefitted everyone.  Our kennel allows all dogs to have a good stay without being harassed by other 'residents'.

We require that dogs visit our kennel in advance of setting a boarding date so we can see, firsthand, how they handle a kennel setting and whether or not they will 'fit' into the kennel schedule without causing themselves, kennel personnel, or other dogs any stress.

All dogs need a bordatella shot and all other current vaccinations. They must be free of parasites (Revolution or Advantage treatments are recommended) as well.

Owners provide the food. We provide the accommodations. It works well. If you travel through the area to vacation or ski, and are thinking of dropping your dog off at a kennel, please phone and make arrangements on one of your trips to drop in, see the kennel, and let us meet your dog.

Phone 403 628 2175 for further information or to set a visitation time.

By the way, the shepherd that the little Cairn terrier is terrorizing is my own dog, RoZe, not a client's dog. They are great friends.
