Drummer Boy

Our resident sheltie, Drummer Boy, is now 22 months of age and in that short time, using our training methods here at Shadowbar, he has accomplished his SHDX title, his RA title and his CGN title.  But more impressive is the fact that he has been quietly training in obedience and has all his CD exercises in line, and his retrieving exercises for Open are fast and clean with a good front most times, and last night first time ever presented with metal, leather, and wooden articles, he correctly retrieved each one quickly and confidently from the entire pile of 18 articles. Thanks to scent hurdle racing, he understands the game.  This is his first Utility exercise other than the go-outs to a target.  It can only get better!!!!   We have decided to wait until he is proofed for Utility before even entering the obedience ring. As well, he has been working on his agility exercises with tunnels his favorite thing.  I have been working on a running contact and have now to teach him to stop.... oh, well, we have time for that.  Sheep are in his future in the spring.  What a great dog!!!
