Shadowbar Shepherds

"May a good shepherd watch over you."

Ch. Shadowbar's Back to the Future PCD RN

Walker has grown into a big dog with a 'think outside the box' attitude.  He has his PCD and CGN title and finished his RN title with super high scores. He is working towards his RA and his DD title . He obtained  his Canadian  championship after taking Best of Breed over specials at the Ev Kenny show Feb. 20 under Brazilian judge  Ramon  Podesta.   He is a Ch.Northfleet Megabucks X Ch. Snowycreek's Dakota Rose CD, CGN, HS.  son.

Connemara's Drummer Boy CGN, SHDX, RA

Drummer, my husband's new sheltie , is amazing. At 8 months of age, he obtained his RN with double High in Class wins at Cranbrook and Skaha and went on to finish his Rally Excellent title with 3/3 High in Class awards  and 3 perfect scores. Since then, Drum has earned his CD, his CGN and his SHDMCh. titles.  Most recently this talented young dog and his handler, Judi, travelled to Utopia, Ontario, for the CCCC All Breed Herding trials. After a slow start to the weekend, Drummer ended up with a third place, a Reserve High in Trial placing, and finally, the High in Trial rosette and a score of 96/100.

We are moving on to NADAC agility, our first ever entry at the Alberta Kennel Club summer Classic August 1st weekend. We are entered in games: Touch 'n Go, and Xtreme Gaters Novice.  Wish us luck!!!

Ch. Shadowbar's Pardon My Dust OFA

Hunter is the image of his dad. He has grown into a very handsome young dog. He has completed his Canadian Championship with Best of Breed placements and has his Rally Advanced Title as well with 2/3 HIC scores.  He has 2 legs towards his PCD as well. We move on to Rally Excellent and Herding this summer.

Hunter first time out with the sheep.  He has figured out balance and distance and keeps his eye on the sheep and an ear open for instruction.

Hunter gained his Rally Novice title with 3/3 HIC scores, one of them 100/100.

He finished his Rally Advanced title with HIC scores as well. On to Excellent in 2012.

Hunter was handled to his Canadian Championship by MaryEllen Whyte and his owner, Judith Snowdon.

He is a handsome, gentle, wonderful dog that anyone would be proud to own, but he belongs to me.

Shadowbar's Slow Dance Pre-CD, CGN, RA

Swayze) is the pup with whom we couldn't part. He was for sale, but no one could see Swayze for Hunter. They all wanted the 'big one'. Well, turns out that Swayze is the big one.  He is dark in color, and, at five years of age, he has become a very handsome hunk of a  dog.
Swayze is the kind of dog that just seems to know how to do things without being formally taught. How fortunate are we???? Swayze has acquired his RA title, his PCD and his CGN titles and makes an awesome search dog, covering the ground quickly and confidently.
Swayze entered the Rally Excellent class in the spring of 2011 and gained his first score of 98/100 under judge Lorraine Perron. He went on to the Alberta Kennel Club dog show and picked up his second leg of Excellent under judge Steve Hazlewood with a perfect score of 100/100. And at the same show, with Mary Ellen Whyte as his handler, Swayze picked up 2 points towards his Canadian Championship as well.  A great summer for this handsome boy.
Swayze finished his Excellent Rally O title at Medicine Hat May 12, 2012, under judge, Norma Schafer, second place to Drummer by one point.

Ch. Shadowbar's Slow Hand

Mo belongs to Jodi Moodie of Calgary, Alberta. He is the a littermate to Hunter, Swayze and the girls, Fyre and Shaggy. Mo completed his Canadian Championship August, 2011 with Larry Clark as handler.

Mo and Jodi have been working at Rally O and are now ready for Rally Excellent. Look for this team at the shows this summer.

Ch. Grosshimel's Onechanznamillion CD. SHDCh. RL-1

Busch completed his championship before the age of one.  He tacked on his CD in short order and excelled in the sport of Scent Hurdle racing.

In Rally O , Busch won High in Trial twice in Level II competition against some exceptional dogs. If we wanted a job done well, we asked Busch. He never let us down.  At 10, he sired a litter of beautiful pups!  Busch retired and spent his days at home at Shadowbar. On August 13th, 2010, I said goodby to my good friend.  His passing affected all who knew him. He was one of those great dogs. Thank you, Cheryl Stuber, for giving me this dog. He changed my life.  I am fortunate to have his kids.
